Reflecting on Year One
As 2025 ends and 2026 begins, I’m taking a moment to reflect on an incredible first year of offering sound healing. Fair warning, this might read like an award speech hahaha But I feel incredibly grateful and really want to share this journey with you, so bear with me…
What started with sound bath sessions at Frankston South Community and Recreation Centre (with just a set of crystal singing bowls), grew into something beyond what I imagined.
I soon discovered the beauty of other therapeutic instruments with the support and knowledge of Bianca from SoulNar Sound Healing Energy Therapy and Kelly from Soli Wellness. Each instrument with their own healing qualities, which I now include in my sessions.
After renovating my home studio, I welcomed Sound & Cacao Meditation Journey sessions, along with SoulNar Sound Healing Energy Therapy, Cacao Journeys/Circles, Reiki sessions, and later SoulNar Chakra Meditation for Kids sessions.
This year brought profound learning through meeting incredible mentors. It started with Natalie from The Vibrational Healer, where I completed my Cacao Ceremony Facilitator training. An experience that opened my heart and eyes to the beauty of ceremonial healing work. A day later, I met Bianca from SoulNar in person to complete my SoulNar Sound Healing Energy Therapy Practitioner training, which opened my heart to Reiki. This led me to Alana from Earth Aya Energy, where I completed my Level 1 and 2 Reiki - The Usui System of Natural Healing Practitioner training. Lastly meeting Rita Joanne from Rita Joanne from Holistic Services who shared her knowledge and wisdom about Intuitive Reiki Facial Massage.
Your (mentors/teachers & clients) honest feedback shaped my practice in ways I couldn’t have anticipated. Every session taught me something new, and I’m deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, inviting me into your wellness journeys.
The overwhelming response to Christmas vouchers showed me how many of you want to gift healing, mindfulness & wellness to the people you love. I’m truly looking forward to welcoming each person who received a voucher and supporting them on their path.
My everyday work as Integrated Family Services Case Manager with mainly survivours and children has had an immense positive impact on me. It reminds me why this work matters and fuels my passion for creating safe, healing spaces.
This year also brought personal loss. I traveled home to say goodbye to my great-grandma, one of my biggest supporters throughout my journey. I also want to thank my mum who is no longer physically with us, but I feel her presence in one way or another quite often. A big thank you too my Aunt Birgitt, my sister Angela and brother-in-law Oliver, and my incredibly patient partner who lives among singing bowls and gongs and somehow still smiles when I practice. Thank you for holding space for my dreams.
Looking forward to 2026, I’m excited to expand my offerings and complete my Graduate Certificate in Family Violence, continuing to bridge my passion for healing with meaningful, grounded work.
Here’s to growth, healing, and the beautiful connections we’ll create together.
With gratitude,
Jessica
